As
Hindus, we are the last remaining carriers of our past wisdom
traditions, yet we see our people living a colonized lifestyle, by
seeking approval from their Western counterparts for whatever it is
we do- be it with regards to our practices or our beliefs.
Until
now, we
have been seeing ourselves from the eyes of Westerners and modifying
our
lifestyle accordingly to
become « someone else » and « live someone 's life
renouncing our unique perhaps the only chance to live our own life
with our own will and wish »,
it is time to reverse the gaze by looking at ourselves and the rest
of the world from a dhārmika lens and
through the eyes of our ancient RISHIS who composed
the
Vedas.
However, in order to do that, we first need to understand our
dhārmika categories well, and gain a better understanding of our
culture and associated traditional models and
as TIROUVALUVAR said not only we should master our culture
intellectually but also apply it to each and every second of our life
and live our culture not only intellectually but also emotionally and
socially.
