ISI agent held in Chennai ahead of train blasts

A Sri Lankan national, believed to be an ISI agent, was arrested in Chennai on Tuesday for his suspected links with Indian terror modules.
Mohamed Zahir Hussain (37), suspected to be an accomplice of a Colombo-based ISI operative, was apprehended after a raid at an undisclosed location on Tuesday following intelligence inputs.
Hussain’s arrest came just two days before the twin blasts at the Chennai central railway station here, in which at least one person has been killed.
Some counterfeit currency and incriminating documents were also seized from him.
He was produced before a magistrate on Tuesday night and remanded to judicial custody.
Hussain during interrogation revealed that he had visited Tamil Nadu several times in the recent past. He also reportedly claimed he was a textile merchant who visited India for “bonafide” purposes, police sources said.
However, his visits to certain locations and possession of “some communication gadgets and photographs” raised the suspicion of investigators. Officials are probing if he had surveyed vital installations and places of public congregation in Tamil Nadu with malafide intentions.
A case has been registered against Hussain under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and various sections of the IPC.

RUDYARD KIPLING THE INDIAN POET

  1. If you can keep your head when all about you
    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
    But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
    And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

    If you can dream - and not make dreams you...r master;
    If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
    And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
    And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
    And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
    Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
    Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
    If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
    If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

    (by Rudyard Kipling)

ADVAITA OR DUVAITA ?

"Who am I?":

DISCORDANCE VS DISHARMONY- Swami Dayananda ji

In advaita, friends, there is relief. There is a joy. We ll love advaita. Nobody wants dvaita. We fight only because of dvaita. It takes two- not merely two, conflicting two- for a fight. It takes two for a crime. It takes two for violence. It takes two for jealousy. It takes two for hatred.
It takes only one for love. Eventhough there is another, there is no division really. We accept the other person completely. There is just love, the flame of love which resolves the two into one. What a wonder! Whenever there is a joy in any experience involving two or three or four or ten, or millions; I tell you, there is only one. Seeker-sought division is not there.
A second thing, a conflict creates a seeker sought division, causes a danger to me. I become a seeker of getting rid of that thing which should not be there. And thus any kind of conflict is caused only by this kind of duality.
Dattareya about whom we have heard a lot had a number of gurus. One of his gurus was a woman and do you know what he learnt from her? He went to her for bhikshA . He asked for bhikshA. From the house a woman came and said, “sir you please wait, I will give you bhikshA. I have to cook the food and give it to you. Will you please wait?” Dattareya said “ok I will wait”.
He waited there inside the house. She gave him an Asana, a seat, offered him water and went inside. She wanted to cook rice but the rice was not there. She had paddy, but no rice in stock. So she had to pound the paddy. She started pounding the paddy. While pounding, the bandles she was wearing on her hands were making so much noise that she felt shy.
She thought that perhaps the sashu would think he is causing trouble to me. And he may quietly go away. Therefor she wanted to avoid the noise made by these bangles. She started removing the bangles one by one
Dattareya had already heard the noise of the bangles and now he happened to see her removing them.. She removed 8, but not the 9th one. He wondered why. And she began pounding. No noise at all. Yea! It takes two to make noise, dattareya understood. Thus he learnt a lot of things from different sources
When I am talking, I create a sound. Do you say that the SwAmI is making a noise? When somebody is singing reaching his octave, do we complain that he is making noise? We do not feel that way. Why? Because that is not noise. When we do not want the other person to talk and still he continues, he is making noise, really. But sound by itself is not noise.
When you are listening to me, you do not realize that there is advaita. I will prove it later. There is advaita. There is only a perceptual dvaita, but when you are absorbed in the topic there is no dvaita, no conflicting dvaita. Thus everybody loves advaita. Nobody loves dvaita.
When at home, if all the members are able to accommodate one another, eventhough they have different notions, opinions, taste etc, we find there is a harmony. They love that harmony. Who wants a discordant note in a symphony?
In an orchestra there are different instruments. Each of these instruments has its own tonal effect, its own form, etc. Each one enjoys its individuality but all of them merge into pattern of symphony. There is advaita there in the pattern. But if one fellow goes out of tune to become predominant he creates disharmony. That is called dvaita, and dvaita brings about discordance

CIA WORKING UNDER COVER OF TRUSTS AND NGOs TO TOPPLE FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS WHO DO NOT ACCEPT TO SELL THEIR SELF-DIGNITY.

CIA WORKING UNDER  COVER OF TRUSTS AND NGOs TO TOPPLE FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS WHO DO NOT ACCEPT TO SELL THEIR SELF-DIGNITY.

James Petras, retired Bartle Professor (Emeritus) of Sociology at Binghamton University in Binghamton, New York, and adjunct professor at Saint Mary’s University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, wrote a damning article on September 18, 2002, exposing the Ford Foundation’s sinister choice of beneficiaries of its donations. He accused the CIA of using “philanthropic foundations as the most effective conduit to channel large sums of money to Agency projects without alerting the recipients to their source”.
Beginning the 1950s, “50 per cent of the 700 grants in the field of international activities by the principal foundations were funded by the CIA,” he wrote, citing a US Congressional investigation in 1976 that said the CIA considered foundations such as Ford “the best and most plausible kind of funding cover”. This article will go beyond the professor’s findings that showed that the Ford Foundation-CIA connection was a deliberate, conscious joint effort to strengthen US imperial cultural hegemony and to undermine left-wing political and cultural influence.
Frances Stonor Saunders wrote in his book, The Cultural Cold War: The CIA and the World of Arts and Letters, 2001, “At times it seemed as if the Ford Foundation was simply an extension of Government in the area of international cultural propaganda. The Ford Foundation had a record of close involvement in covert actions in Europe, working closely with Marshall Plan and CIA officials on specific projects.”
That should keep India safe because the US claims to further the cause of democracy while India is the largest democracy, right? Wrong. The Americans often follow an Indira Gandhi-like policy: Romancing with nefarious elements till they serve as Pentagon’s puppets. A deep probe into the cia-on-campus.org site reveals that the Ford Foundation has dirty pro-Islamic businesses it would rather be silent on. There have been a number of reports by journalists about it founding anti-Israel NGOs. It is also worth noting that Henry Ford created the Ford Foundation while he was involved in and impressed by Nazi Germany, two years before he received his award. Remember, Ford also had a factory in Imperial Japan and, for some unexplained reason in March 1945, Japan sent orders for a pro-independance committee to be formed in Indonesia.
Former Ford Foundation president Richard Bisell acknowledged that the purpose of the Ford Foundation was not “so much to defeat the Leftist intellectuals in dialectical combat as to lure them away from their positions”. In other words, you make them work in ‘harmless’ activities, and not in those that may eventually pose a threat to the interests of the US Administration.
Almost exactly 50 years ago, reports writer and documentary filmmaker G Edward Griffin, an unusual meeting took place between one Roland Gaither, then President of the enormously wealthy Ford Foundation, and a Norman Dodd, then chief investigator for the Congressional Committee to Investigate Tax Exempt Foundations. Gaither asks Dodd, “Would you be interested in knowing what we do here at the Ford Foundation?” Dodd replies, “Yes! That’s exactly why I am here. I would be very interested, sir.” Gaither tells him, “Mr Dodd, we operate in response to directives, the substance of which is that we shall use our grant making power to alter life in the United States so that it can be comfortably merged with the Soviet Union.” When he recovers from his shock, Dodd asks whether Gaither believes he doesn’t have an obligation to disclose this aim of one of the wealthiest tax-exempt foundations in the country to the American people. Gaither replies, “We would never dream of doing such a thing.” So, even the American citizenry is not supposed to know what the Ford Foundation is up to!
Niti Central now digs out from the archives of The New York Times a report that speaks of the Ford Foundation’s links with the CIA:
What CIA seeks to achieve through Ford Foundation
Next, Naomi Klein’s The Shock Doctrine (Penguin, 2008) speaks of the Ford Foundation’s involvement in the ‘Southern Cone’ (South Americas) and Indonesia. It is an account of intellectual sponsorship of fascist intellectuals such as those following Milton Friedman’s Chicago School of Economics, embarrassment of the aftermath, followed by sponsorship of human rights organisations.
The Congressional report spoken of above names some of the Ford Foundation’s projects that looked innocuous but had American soft imperialism as their motive:
• Establishment of a publishing house, Inter-cultural Publications, and the publication of a magazine Perspectives in Europe in four languages.
• Setting up journal Der Monat funded by the Confidential Fund of the US military and run by Melvin Lasky.
• Funding CIA-organised Congress for Cultural Freedom (Donation: $7 million in the early 1960s).
• Proliferation of a number of journals and access to the mass media which pro-US intellectuals used to launch vituperative polemics against Marxists and other anti-imperialists. The FF funding of these anti-Marxists organisations and intellectuals provided a legal cover for their claims of being “independent” of government funding (CIA).
Other authoritative sources reveal a different set of sinister activities of the Ford Foundation:
• In 1968, the Ford Foundation began disbursing $12 million to persuade law schools to make “law school clinics” part of their curriculum. Clinics were intended to give practical experience in law practice while providing pro bono representation to the poor. Many, however, charge that the clinics have been used instead by professors to engage in political activism. Critics cite the financial involvement of the Ford Foundation as the turning point when these clinics began to change from giving practical experience to engaging in advocacy ["Clinical, Cynical" by Heather MacDonald in the Wall Street Journal, 2006, p A14].
• In 1994, Christina Hoff Sommers in her book, Who Stole Feminism? How Women Have Betrayed Women, alleged that the Ford Foundation funded “gender feminism”, an ideology that abandoned the feminist quest for equity in favour of a gender war against men. Similar claims were made by the Spanish judge Francisco Serrano Castro in his 2012 book, La Dictadura de Género (The Dictatorship of Gender).
• Joan Roelofs, in Foundations and Public Policy: The Mask of Pluralism (State University of New York Press, 2003), wrote that Ford and similar foundations played a key role in co-opting opposition movements. “While dissent from ruling class ideas is labelled ‘extremism’ and is isolated, individual dissenters may be welcomed and transformed. Indeed, ruling class hegemony is more durable if it is not rigid and narrow, but is able dynamically to incorporate emergent trends”. She reports that McCloy, while chairman of the Ford Foundation’s board of trustees from 1958 to 1965, “thought of the Ford Foundation as a quasi-extension of the US Government. It was his habit, for instance, to drop by the National Security Council (NSC) in Washington every couple of months and casually ask whether there were any overseas projects the NSC would like to see funded.” Roelofs also charges that the Ford Foundation financed counter-insurgency programmes in Indonesia and other countries.
• In 2003, the Ford Foundation was critiqued by American news service Jewish Telegraphic Agency, among others, for supporting Palestinian NGOs that were accused of promoting anti-Semitism at the 2001 World Conference Against Racism. Under pressure from several members of Congress, chief among them Rep Jerrold Nadler, the Ford Foundation apologised and then prohibited the promotion of “violence, terrorism, bigotry or the destruction of any state” among its grantees. This move itself sparked protest among university provosts and various non-profit groups on free speech issues.
• In 2005, Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox began a probe of the Ford Foundation that ultimately backfired. Though the Ford Foundation is headquartered in New York City, it is chartered in Michigan, giving that state some jurisdiction. Cox focused on its governance, potential conflicts of interest among board members, and what he viewed as its poor record of giving to charities in Michigan. Between 1998 and 2002, the Ford Foundation gave Michigan charities about $2.5 million per year, far less than many other charities its size. The Ford Foundation countered that an extensive review and report by the Gaither Study Committee in 1949 had recommended that the Ford Foundation broaden its scope beyond Michigan to national and international grant-making. The report was endorsed by the Ford Foundation’s board of trustees, and they subsequently voted to move the Ford Foundation to New York City in 1953.
• The Ford Foundation’s partnership with the New Israel Fund, which began in 2003, was frequently criticised regarding its choice of mostly liberal grantees and causes. This criticism came to light after the 2001 Durban Conference, where some nongovernmental organizations funded by the Ford Foundation backed resolutions equating Israeli policies as apartheid, and later, against those groups which support the delegitimization of Israel. In response, the Ford Foundation adopted stricter criteria for funding.
In the new millennium, Petras says, the Ford Foundation has turned “more flexible in providing small grants to human rights groups and academic researchers who occasionally dissent from US policy. They are not as likely to recruit CIA operatives to head the organisation. More significantly, they are likely to collaborate more openly with the US government in its cultural and educational projects, particularly with the Agency of International Development.”
We will see how the CIA has spread its tentacles in India in the next article in the series.

EUROPE SHOULD GO BACK TO IT's PAGAN DRUID AND CELTIC ROOTS.

Hindus need to encourage, work with and support the people of Europe who wish to rediscover their ancient PAGAN past, reconnect to European roots of their DRUIDS AND CELTIC SPIRITUALITY whose respect for nature and consciousness that man is part of the latter and not a exploiter car in this ecosystem man is connected with nature and in the long run, he will pay every seed he sows.

CHRISTIANITY has invaded Europe from the deserts of the present ISRAEL  and when those who came to preach in ENGLAND and ROME became accepted by ENGLISH AND ROMAN KINGS, they began their preaching and destroyed all pagan culture by including "pagan festivals" in their new religion (by digestion). Since that time , seeing their success in Italy and England,  their missionary machine never stopped since then crushing one European country after another spreading not directly but by countries newly converted ..When ITALY became Christian, they made it their own national religion and inflicted it on their colony in FRANCE where they colonized "GAULLE" .  And, in this way, the tentacles of this octopus spreaded to nooks and corners of EUROPE.

EUROPE HAS MORE IN COMMON WITH OUR VEDIC TRADITION OF SEEING GOD IN EVERY ATOM IN EVERY LIVING BEING AND MATTER OF WHICH IS MADE MOUNTAINS OR MAN.

Ganga Puja Ritual
Ganga Puja Ritual

As the Ramayana and Mahabharata are sacred to Hindus, so Hindus can help the peoples of Europe to rediscover the organic meanings, sounds and metaphors which is evident in the Iliad, Odyssey, Aeneid, Norse sagas, the compositions of Irish Celtic bards and the incredible revival of pagan beliefs in Estonia. Only that way will Europe be able to connect to its ancient past and permanently throw off the monotheistic mindset which has plagued it and impeded its spiritual development.

As mentioned earlier, the continent takes its name from the pagan goddess Europa. for two thousand years she was all but banished from memory by the monotheist imperialism which tolerated no other deity than the jealous and aggressive male demiurge sanctioned by the Church. How fitting then that it is through hinduism, the surviving pagan culture which has continued to honour the sacred feminine in the form of durga and kali as the female force of shakti, that she should return from her spiritual exile. if Europe wishes to return to its roots it can only do so by once again becoming the continent of its feminine deity, Europa.

WIKIPEDIA ON CHRISTIAN TERRORISM IN INDIA

Christian terrorism has appeared in various contiguous states in North-East India.

Tripura

The National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), a rebel group which seeks the secession of Tripura, North-East India, from the country, has been described as engaging in terrorist violence motivated by their Christian beliefs.[10] The NLFT is listed as a terrorist organization in the Prevention of Terrorism Act, 2002.[11] The state government contends that the Baptist Church of Tripura supplies arms and gives financial support to the NLFT.[12][13][14] Reports from the state government and Indian media describe activities such as the acquisition by the NLFT of explosives through the Noapara Baptist Church in Tripura,[14] and threats of killing Hindus celebrating religious festivals.[15] Over 20 Hindus in Tripura were reported killed by the NLFT from 1999 to 2001 for resisting forced conversion to Christianity.[16] According to Hindus in the area, there have also been forced conversions of tribal villagers to Christianity by armed NLFT militants.[16] These forcible conversions, sometimes including the use of "rape as a means of intimidation", have also been noted by academics outside of India.[17] John Joseph, the Christian representative of the National Minority Commission, stated in 2000 that foreign funds used for Roman Catholic terrorism in the northeast are routed through Christians in Kerala.[18]

Odisha

In 2007 a tribal spiritual Hindu monk, Swami Lakshmanananda Saraswati, accused Radhakant Nayak, chief of a local chapter of World Vision, and a former Rajya Sabha member from Odisha in the Indian National Congress party, of plotting to assassinate him.[19] The Swami also said that World Vision was covertly pumping money into India for religious conversion during the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, and criticized the activities of Christian missionaries as going against tribal beliefs.[20] In 2008, he was gunned down along with four disciples on the Hindu festive day of Krishna Janmashtami by a group of 30–40 armed men.[21] Later, Maoist terrorist leader Sabyasachi Panda admitted responsibility for the assassination, saying that the Maoists had intervened in the religious dispute on behalf of Christians and Dalits.[22][23] The non-governmental organization Justice on Trial disputed that there had been Maoist involvement, and quoted the Swami as claiming that Christian missionaries had earlier attacked him eight times.[24][25]

Nagaland

Nagaland is a Christian majority state in India. Many terrorist incidents have been documented there as a result of an insurgency against the government. This insurgency was originally led by the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN), who has indulged in terrorist activities varying from kidnapping, illegal drug trafficking, extortion, etc.[26] The group has committed religious violence, as a part of NSCN's described mission of forcibly converting the animist Naga to Christianity. Other goals include the formation of a greater Nagaland. There are occasional reports of the NSCN using force to convert locals of neighboring states to Christianity.[27]

Manipur

The National Socialist Council of Nagaland, Issac-Muivah faction (slogan: "Nagaland for Christ"), is accused of carrying out the 1992–1993 ethnic cleansing of Kuki tribes in Manipur, said to have leave over 900 people dead. During that NSCN-IM operation, 350 Kuki villages were driven out and about 100,000 Kukis were turned into refugees.[28]

A l'Etoile et as laissé mon regard dépité

wall street journal reveals and exposes VADRA 's real colours.

The Mystery Man who Buys Land for the Gandhi Family

Land facilitator Mahesh Nagar is at right in a Congress party campaign poster.
Rajesh Roy/The Wall Street Journal
Who is Mahesh Nagar? It depends who you ask.
Mr. Nagar’s name appears on land office documents as the facilitator for land deals for India’s politically powerful Gandhi family.
Over four years, from 2009 to 2012, Mr. Nagar bought and sold tracts of land in Rajasthan on behalf of Robert Vadra, the 44-year-old husband of Priyanka Gandhi, whose brother, Rahul Gandhi, is spearheading the Congress party’s re-election efforts in national parliamentary elections that began April 7 and end next month.
Mr. Nagar has also bought land in Haryana on behalf of Mr. Gandhi in 2008.
In Rajasthan, the brokers who sold land to Mr. Nagar say they don’t have his contact information. In his home state of Haryana, next door to Delhi, officials at the land revenue office where he facilitated the purchase of land for Mr. Gandhi say they don’t have any information on Mr. Nagar either. Even his own brother, reached by phone, professes ignorance about where he is.
“Sorry, I don’t know his whereabouts,” said the brother, Lalit Nagar, a Congress party politician who ran and lost a bid for a seat in the Haryana state legislature in 2009 in Faridabad, a city near New Delhi.
But when a reporter showed up in Faridabad that same day, it was hard to find anyone who didn’t know Mahesh Nagar — and where to find him. A giant campaign poster in a marketplace near a local hospital featured Mr. Nagar, along with his brother, Lalit Nagar, and the leaders of the Congress party nationally — Mr. Gandhi and his mother, Congress party President Sonia Gandhi.
In an air-conditioned office in the same marketplace, Mr. Nagar, wearing a white shirt, lounged in a big leather chair, the walls decorated with pictures of Mr. Gandhi, Mrs. Gandhi and Mr. Vadra’s wife, Priyanka Gandhi.
Mr. Nagar and his brother live less than a kilometer away in a sprawling bungalow that bears both of their names on a sign out front.
Asked why he’s so elusive, Mr. Nagar smiles and asks, “Are you the reporter who called my brother this morning? I was there only when he was speaking to you.”
In the interview with the Wall Street Journal, he tried to distance himself from the Gandhi family, saying he’s never met them.
“Yes, I got some of the land registered for them,” he says. “But I don’t know the Gandhi family directly.”
Land records show Mr. Nagar bought 6.4 acres of land for Mr. Gandhi in Haryana’s Hassanpur village in 2008. Then, in 2009, Mr. Nagar began showing up in the northwestern part of Rajasthan, buying nearly 2,000 acres of barren land on behalf of seven of Mr. Vadra’s companies over the next three years. He paid about 64,000,000 rupees, or about $1 million, for the land, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis of a summary of Mr. Vadra’s land deals that Kolayat land officials put together for a state investigation into his holdings.
Asked to explain Mr. Vadra’s land dealings, a spokesman said in an email that Mr. Vadra was a private citizen who had acquired real estate but “obtained no favor or benefit from anyone.” He had complied with the law and was unfairly being “subjected to a campaign to malign him for political reasons.”
In 2010 and 2011, the central and Rajasthan governments adopted tax incentives for the solar industry, which drew companies to the Bikaner area, which has among the highest irradiation levels in India. Land prices soared. Mr. Nagar, who bought Mr. Vadra’s land at an average price of 33,000 rupees, or $550, an acre, began selling the land less than three years later at more than six times that price, or an average per acre price of 220,000 rupees, about $3,700, according to the Journal’s review of the Kolayat land district office summary.
Local brokers and a local land official recall Mr. Nagar showing up frequently over the years in a black SUV, parking all day outside the Kolayat land office, and making deals in his vehicle. Brokers say they would enter the SUV to sign documents selling the land to Mr. Vadra’s companies.  Mr. Nagar would hand them payments in cash, the brokers say.
Asked how he came to be buying land for Gandhi family members, Mr. Nagar said somebody from Gurgaon, a growing suburb of Delhi, asked him to buy the land and gave him letters of authority to facilitate the land deals. He declined to identify the person.
Mr. Nagar said his buying for the Gandhi family is “all over now,” and that he’s no longer making purchases or sales for either Mr. Vadra or Mr. Gandhi. He said he doesn’t recall using a black SUV or paying in cash for land. Mr. Nagar declined to say what car he used in Rajasthan or how he did pay for the land. He said he got no special treatment by the land office.
Despite the Gandhi family photographs on the walls and poster of himself with Congress Party leadership outside his office, Mr. Nagar said in the interview that he didn’t have any political affiliation.
He said he was a farmer growing flowers, wheat and paddy, showing a reporter a business card bearing his name and academic credentials—a master’s degree in the arts and a law degree. However, the card was also imprinted with the symbol of the Congress Party, a hand.

KOLAYAT, India—A taciturn man in a black SUV started buying up tracts of arid agricultural land around this small town in the western Indian state of Rajasthan in 2009.
He would sit in the parking lot outside the one-story concrete building that houses the land office and dole out cash for sellers from the back seat, according to real-estate brokers and a local government land official.
The buyer represented by the man in the SUV, according to state land records, was Robert Vadra, a member of India's powerful Nehru-Gandhi political clan, whose Congress party leads the country today and has for much of its more-than-66-year post-colonial history.
Soon after he began buying, the federal government announced plans to promote large-scale solar-energy production, a land-intensive project for which the area was well-suited. He continued buying land, and in 2011 the state, too, announced solar incentives. The value of the land Mr. Vadra bought soared sixfold within three years, a state record of land transactions shows.

State officials say they are investigating whether there were any legal violations, such as exceeding land-purchase limits, in the investments by Mr. Vadra, who is the son-in-law of Congress party President Sonia Gandhi and brother-in-law of Rahul Gandhi, the leader of Congress's campaign in elections now under way.
A spokesman for Mr. Vadra said he is a private citizen who has been subjected to a campaign to malign him for political reasons. "He has acquired and disposed of real estate in exercise of his rights and has obtained no favor or benefit from anyone," the spokesman said. "He has complied with all applicable provisions of law and has nothing further to say."

As Indians go to the polls in a weekslong parliamentary election, a powerful force is resentment by many over the ease with which politicians of most parties, bureaucrats and people close to them have prospered while the country struggles to meet the basic needs of the masses. A growing belief that the economic playing field is tilted too far in favor of those with political connections is helping drive a voter revolt against the ruling Congress party and fueling a surge in support for its main rival, the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party, or BJP.
A Pew Research survey found that 83% of Indians consider corruption a "very big" problem. The subject of corruption is repeatedly discussed on television talk shows and in political speeches. India has endured a stream of abuse-of-power scandals during Congress's 10 years in office, on matters ranging from jobs at the state railway to coal-mining licenses, helicopter purchasing and cellphone bandwidth.
"Never in my lifetime have I seen the kind of cynicism that the current government in Delhi has generated among the middle classes," said Jyotirmaya Sharma, a University of Hyderabad political scientist. "It's phenomenal."
Congress party leaders have acknowledged the voter outcry and said they are doing their best to combat the problem.
As India has urbanized, real-estate investing has become a route to quick wealth for some. People with connections or inside knowledge can position themselves to profit as property changes hands, including by helping speed approvals through a bureaucracy notoriously arbitrary and slow to act.
"A section of India has become prosperous, unimaginably rich," said Sudheendra Kulkarni, a onetime adviser to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee of the BJP who runs a think tank and is critical of politicians across the spectrum.
It is hard to know how much property people really own. The wealthy and politically connected in India sometimes hold large amounts in the names of others—from servants to shell companies—to avoid tax officials and corruption investigators, said R.H. Tahiliani, former chairman of the India chapter of Transparency International, the global anticorruption group.
No legal authority has accused Mr. Vadra of any wrongdoing. An investigative committee appointed by the state of Haryana's Congress-led government reviewed one transaction questioned by a land official in 2012 and cleared Mr. Vadra. The Congress party said that Mr. Vadra is a private citizen engaged in business and hasn't done anything wrong.
India Against Corruption, an activist group, has criticized some of Mr. Vadra's deals and accused him of enriching himself through transactions with a property developer. The group has called for a new probe of his business that it says would be more politically independent than the one begun in 2012.
The Wall Street Journal found that during the decade Mr. Vadra's in-laws have held sway in New Delhi, the 44-year-old with a high-school education and no experience in property development amassed a large real-estate portfolio. Based on a review of company filings, land records and interviews with property experts, the Journal calculated that through 2012, Mr. Vadra sold more than $12 million of property, and as of then he still held real estate valued at about $42 million. It isn't clear whether Mr. Vadra's companies have sold any more real estate since then because company filings for the past two years aren't available on government websites.

Mr. Vadra married into India's political nobility in 1997 when he wed Priyanka Gandhi, a daughter of Sonia Gandhi and the late Rajiv Gandhi, prime minister from 1984 to 1989. Priyanka Gandhi's great-grandfather was independence leader Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first prime minister. Her grandmother, Indira Gandhi, served as prime minister for 15 years in two stints.
When Congress, with Sonia Gandhi at the helm, retook power from the BJP in 2004, Mr. Vadra was running a small business exporting inexpensive costume jewelry. In late 2007 he went into the real-estate business, forming a firm called Sky Light Hospitality Private Ltd. with less than $2,000, according to company filings at the Registrar of Companies of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs in New Delhi.
Early in 2008, Sky Light bought 3.5 acres of undeveloped land near a highway intersection in the New Delhi suburb of Gurgaon for $1.3 million, according to a sales document. Two months later, Mr. Vadra applied to the Congress-controlled state government for a license to convert the land to commercial use from agricultural. Preliminary permission was granted 18 days later, according to the license application and state approval. With that, the land became far more valuable.
Over the next four years, developer DLF poured millions of dollars into Mr. Vadra's company, reported on its balance sheet as "advances." Then in 2012, DLF said it bought the Gurgaon property from Mr. Vadra's company for a total of $9.7 million, most of which it had advanced in the preceding years. It was more than seven times his reported purchase price.
A senior official at the Haryana state land office, Ashok Khemka, looked into the deal and concluded Mr. Vadra's company "did not own the resources to pay" for the land when purchasing it in 2008. Suspecting irregularities, he moved to cancel the deal.
The state's chief minister, a Congress party politician, ordered Mr. Khemka transferred to a position in a state-run agricultural company. The chief minister and his staff didn't respond to requests for comment. Mr. Khemka, a whistleblower in a number of past allegations of corruption, said he has been transferred numerous times in his 22-year civil-service career to foil his gadfly efforts.
According to government filings, Sky Light Hospitality said it paid for the land in 2008 with a loan from state-owned Corporation Bank.   In 2012, the bank's then-chairman was quoted by the Times of India as saying there "was no such transaction with us as per our records so far." That official has left the bank and couldn't be reached; the new bank chairman declined to comment.
In a report to the state last year, Mr. Khemka wrote that the 2008 sale of the land to Mr. Vadra's company "was a completely sham transaction." The state-appointed investigative committee looked at the deal and concluded Mr. Vadra did nothing wrong. Congress's political opponents expressed skepticism about the result on the grounds that committee members were state employees subject to transfer or discipline.
Mr. Vadra's Sky Light Hospitality did other deals in New Delhi and the nearby states of Haryana and Rajasthan. In 2008-09, it paid $5.3 million for a 50% interest in a hotel being built by DLF in New Delhi, a hotel valued at $33 million in 2012, according to a DLF calculation that year.
Another company controlled by Mr. Vadra, Sky Light Realty, acquired a penthouse apartment—estimated by brokers to now be worth $5 million—in a complex DLF built in Gurgaon called the Aralias.
That same Vadra company reported in its government filings for fiscal 2009 and 2010 that it bought seven apartments in a luxury complex built by DLF for $870,000.
They were worth close to $6 million at the time, real-estate brokers said. India Against Corruption, a grass-roots movement that has spawned an anticorruption political party called the Aam Admi Party, alleged that the transactions amounted to a ploy for DLF to give the Gandhi family property and money to curry favor. Congress party officials have repeatedly denied the allegation. Rahul Gandhi didn't respond to requests for comment, and a person in his office said he was too busy campaigning to respond.
DLF said Mr. Vadra's group actually paid much more than $870,000—it said the actual price was about $166 a square foot, which would add up to about $7 million. Today, the seven apartments are worth more than $16 million, real-estate brokers said.
Asked for comment, DLF cited a response it made to the anticorruption group, which said in part: "The business relationship of DLF with Mr. Robert Vadra or his companies has been in his capacity as an individual entrepreneur, on a completely transparent and at an arm's length basis. Our business relationship has been conducted to the highest standards of ethics and transparency."
Mr. Vadra's land purchases in Rajasthan state—some of which brokers say were done through the man in the black SUV—began in 2009, at a time when Congress controlled the state's government. Both the state and India's federal governments had just begun discussing policies to promote solar energy, which requires large tracts of land for solar-panel arrays, a senior official involved in developing the Rajasthan policy said.
From 2009 to 2012, Mr. Vadra's companies bought about 2,000 acres in Rajasthan for about $1 million, according to a Journal review of land-office records compiled by the Kolayat land office in Rajasthan state. Much of this property was in the state's northwestern corridor, long regarded by energy experts as a good place for solar-power arrays because of its ample sunshine and relatively cheap land.
In one purchase registered in the land-office books, Mr. Vadra bought 94 acres for $70,000 in January of 2010.
A week later, the federal government unveiled plans to offer extensive tax incentives for solar-power investment. The state followed with more incentives the next year.
"Once our area became a solar-power center, we discovered Mr. Vadra had bought up all of our land cheaply from the farmers," said Arjun Ram Meghwal, a member of parliament from the rival BJP.
As solar firms moved in, the land's value jumped. A property sale by Mr. Vadra's Sky Light Hospitality in January 2012 included most of the 94-acre plot bought in 2010. The sale priced it at 10 times the per-acre purchase price, the Kolayat land office summary of his transactions shows.
In all, Mr. Vadra has sold more than 700 Rajasthan acres, about a third of his holdings in the state, for $2.7 million, according to the summary. That is nearly three times his purchase price for his entire Rajasthan holding, of which his firms still own about 1,200 acres. Their value is more than $4 million, according to a local land official and local brokers.
Land records show Mr. Vadra was represented locally by Mahesh Nagar, who has also represented the Congress party's Mr. Gandhi on at least one occasion.
Mr. Nagar, who is the brother of a Congress party politician, said he didn't personally know either Mr. Vadra or Mr. Gandhi. Interviewed in his office decorated with pictures of Mr. Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Mr. Nagar said he had been approached by a "facilitator" who gave him authority letters to get lands registered for Messrs. Vadra and Gandhi.
It was Mr. Nagar, said real-estate brokers and a local land official, who handed out money for land sellers from inside a black SUV when Mr. Vadra began acquiring property in Rajasthan. Brokers took turns entering the vehicle, receiving payment for property sellers from Mr. Nagar, and signing documents that local land officials registered within hours, brokers and the land official said.
Mr. Nagar agreed he handled land purchases and sales for Mr. Vadra for several years but said he didn't recall using a black SUV, doing deals in cash or getting documents registered faster than the general public.
Locals say they will never forget those exciting times. "How much land he bought, you can't imagine," said Lalit Ramavat, a local land dealer. "We didn't imagine in our dreams that our land would become so valuable." Mr. Ramavat said he considers Mr. Vadra's interest in his area's land a boon for "farmers who were very poor and needed money."
Word of Mr. Vadra's land deals in Rajasthan has been circulating in the local media for about two years. After the opposition BJP won control of the state government from Congress in December, it ordered an investigation to determine how much land Mr. Vadra had bought and whether he had violated any local land laws, such as a limit on how much land one person or entity can own.
The new BJP administration directed the land office in Kolayat to pull together records of all transactions in the area involving Mr. Vadra. State officials are reviewing them, said a member of the chief minister's cabinet.
Addressing his representation of Mr. Vadra in land deals, Mr. Nagar said, "Who is not dealing in property and land buying?"
He added: "People are targeting Vadra only because he is the son-in-law of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi."

WHY THE USA WANTS TO INVEST IN INDIA ; because it gets more returns on it's investment from FDI in India than inside it's own market ! WITH "phony fake and "printed to flood external markets " virtual money with complete disconnect with ground reality ! !

The phoney credits invested in stocks outside the US in 2002 fetched, by 2007, 52 per cent more than did investment in US stocks. While a dollar invested in foreign markets in 2002 returned $2.90 by the end of 2007, a dollar invested in the US market during the same period yielded only $1.90. Because of this, the net global equity position of the US shot up from a measly $40 million in 2002 to $3 trillion by 2007 (Gian Maria Milesi-Ferretti, International Monetary Fund). Now, understand why the US campaigns for FDI into India. The phoney credit money is used to import cheap, borrow back cheap, and invest outside for high returns. An unwary world was slowly drawn into the dollar recycling game without realising that trade, which was traditionally bilateral (between countries), has been made multilateral with the unilateral dollar as the arbiter.

HERE IS THE WHOLE ARTICLE for those who have time :

Dollar’s taking us for a spin

First, a brief recall of the basics of monetary economics which deals with the relation between paper money and real economy. Milton Friedman theorised on monetary economics, won Nobel recognition. The Economist (2006) celebrated Friedman as possibly “the most influential economist” of the 20th century and the Econ Journal Watch survey (2011) ranked him next only to John Maynard Keynes.

Keynes’s thesis was that monetary policy should make money cheap to promote investment and consumption. Friedman differed from Keynes and theorised that money should play a neutral role. His theory has proved good text for all times even as Keynes is good sub-text for abnormal contexts like credit-starved recessions. Friedman’s foundational logic is that inflation is ever and everywhere related to money supply.

Seeing a close nexus between prices and money supply, Friedman theorised that when prices rise, money supply should reduce and when prices fall, money supply should increase. Friedman also ruled that money supply should be strictly tailored to nominal growth in GDP. More. He was clear that genuine savings alone, not inflated credit money, should fund investments.

The US overcame its hyper inflation mess of the early 1980s by applying Friedman’s thesis. It restricted money supply to growth and successfully controlled inflation. From then Friedman became the US Fed’s idol. Even recently (April 2011) in its paper called “Friedman’s monetary economics in practice”, the Fed defended Friedman against Paul Krugman who had criticised Friedman in his article titled “Who was Milton Friedman?”

Following Friedman

Yet, by the 1990s, when the US increasingly began driving its growth through phoney credit money, the US Fed sent its idol to the archives. In July 2000, the Fed stopped setting target ranges for money supply growth. From June 2006, it ceased giving money supply data. In July 2008, it confessed that, in the past two decades, the relationship between money supply growth and growth of the US economy had broken down. Recently, in May 2013, asking “What is the money supply? Is it important?” the Fed finally explained. First, as over some periods, measures of the money supply had shown a close relationship with nominal GDP and price levels, “some economists — Milton Friedman being the most famous example — had argued” that money supply determines the level of prices and inflation in the long run. Second, the Fed had, at times, used measures of the money supply as an important guide in its monetary policy. Third, in recent decades, as the relationship of money supply, GDP growth and inflation in the US had been quite unstable, the Fed had concluded that the importance of money supply as a guide for US monetary policy had diminished over time. This was a clear epitaph for Friedman's monetarism.

Burying the teachings

By when did the Fed, which idolised Friedman, bury his teachings? The answer lies in Fed’s words — “in recent decades” — pointing to the 1990s when phoney monies had become intense and invasive. Read on.

Post the 1980s, the US intensely globalised the dollar and actively created credit money for its survival and growth ( Business Line, June 13, 2013). Credit surpassed GDP several times over. In 1980, nominal GDP of the US was $3.7 trillion against which US bank credit stood at $4.5 trillion. By 2010, nominal GDP rose to $14.3 trillion, but bank credit long-jumped to $51 trillion. In the three decades from 1980 to 2010, US GDP rose 3.8 times, but bank credit, 10.4 times. From 1970 to 2012, total US debt rose 51 times, external debt 160 times, federal debt 42 times, but GDP only 15 times — showing the total disconnect between real economy and credit money.

The picture of the money tsunami is incomplete without looking at shadow banking. According to the Financial Stability Board (2012) unregulated shadow banking in the US grew to $23 trillion in 2011 — meaning that much additional money got generated outside banks. This is about 35 per cent of the US’ financial assets of $66 trillion – of which banks’ share is far less, 22 per cent! On top of this is the $244 trillion derivatives as of 2011. Yet, despite this financial tsunami, in 1980-2010, the US consumer price index moved up from 82 to 218 — up only 1.6 times. During 1990-2000 inflation rose by 35 per cent but credit money more than doubled, to 81 per cent. During 2000-2010, inflation rose by 23 per cent, butcredit money went up by 83 per cent – some three-and-a-half times inflation.

Phoney credit

How did the US manage to create so much phoney credit money and yet beat inflation — and defeat monetary economics?

For five unique, US-specific reasons, the US Fed claim that the relationship between money supply, nominal GDP, and inflation has broken down seems right. One, the US has de-territorialised some $7.8 trillion in liquid cash and securities, held by other countries as forex reserves. Obviously, the dollars created in the US but circulating outside would not create inflation in the US. Two, because of the consumption driven growth and huge imports, the US current account deficit of $9.2 trillion, which caused that much outflow of dollars, ensured that the US credit money explosion spilled out. This process also brought cheap Chinese goods into the US and moderated inflation.

Three, by the US maintaining and increasing the demand for dollars in trillions through reciprocal dollar recycling contracts, the US dollar, instead of falling, rose three times (see Business Line, July 11, 2013) again helping the US to tame inflation. Four, the economic theories expounded by modern economists have led the US (and the world) to believe that while commodity price rise is inflation, asset price rise constituted prosperity and wealth, thus justifying credit-induced asset price rise as promoting prosperity. This perverse logic led to the creation of phoney financial wealth unrelated to real wealth, namely nominal GDP. According to McKinsey Global Institute, the ratio of GDP to financial assets, which was almost equal at 10:12 in 1980, doubled to 22:43 in 1990, multiplied three times at 32:93 in 2000 and peaked to three-and-a-half times at 55:196 in 2007!

And five, to fuel growth essentially by asset price rise, the US Fed cut down the short-term interest to less than one per cent to entice households to borrow at cheap rates against the credit-fuelled fake appreciation of homes and stocks. According to a 2001-2006 study co-authored by Alan Greenspan, the then Fed chief himself, US households borrowed $3.2 trillion against the fake appreciation in home values — for consumption. Lending against fake house values led to the sub-prime crisis. The strategy behind US success in creating and deploying phoney credit monies without inflation was the globalisation of the dollar and the dollarisation of the world.

A cluster of reasons, including US lifestyle based on leveraged consumption financed by phoney credit in trillions, importing goods, and running current account deficit in trillions, contractually recycling back to the US at cheap interest the trillions dollars sent out, and investing borrowed trillions outside the US for higher returns, have made all this happen.

In modern financial economics, phoney credit and liquidity substitute for both savings and capital. Greenspan, who discarded Friedman’s monetary discipline and adopted ‘neo-financial’ economics, became known as the ‘god of money’, because he created and inducted fake credit monies into the economy without inflation. By recycling the phoney credit monies it has created and sent out, investing outside the US and earning huge returns, the US has escaped Friedman’s effect. It’s a model no other country can offer. After the 2008 financial crisis, Greenspan confessed that his belief in financial markets had been proved wrong. Modern economics has perverted monetary economics and created and globalised trillions of dollars of phoney money — with which the world cannot survive for long and without which it does not know the next step.

QED: The US has co-opted the world into holding the tiger's tail, with neither knowing how to let go of it!

The US has cast a web around the world by exporting phoney money.
